The place is hosting an event dubbed the Sip’n Paint. According to organisers, this is a social event that gives an individual a chance to mentally align themselves with their goals, desires and resolutions for the year ahead by painting it on a canvas. Marketing and sale manager at The Escapade by James, Farai Chinguwo, explained to Arts&Culture that Sip’n Paint event’s inspiration came from Vision Board, the concept of listing down an individual’s targets, goals or dreams and using that list as a daily reminder or a form of motivation towards achieving that target set.
Chinguwo further stated that participants will be offered a glass of wine to sip and meal while creating their vision board. Furthermore, guests will also get to leave with their paintings as some are kind of a motivation to work on achieving their goals. “So we tried making it a bit social where you could do the same thing while painting on canvass. For as little as P250 for single tickets and P450 for pair, this is one event that cannot be missed. Tickets are sold at all Spar outlets,” said Chinguwo. He added that the event will be held near a dam, which offers an extra intriguing and relaxing atmosphere.
Chinguwo stated that Sip’n Chill is an open event mainly targeting adults above the legal drinking age and anyone willing to enjoy the outdoors while planning for the year ahead. “We have only done this event once before and we got a decent amount of people who attended the event. We wish to attract more people to attend this year’s event,” he added. Chinguwo promised attendees that this event would be much better and should expect a social and interactive vibe.
