A leading safari company, based in Maun, is seeking the following candidates:
OPERATIONS MANAGER (BUSH-BASED)
Overseeing that stock holdings are being correctly managed in camps and assisting camp managers with resolving stock-related issues.
Training on operational matters in camps including the correct use of chemicals, stock management, basic IT literacy
Checking camps front and back of house to identify areas for improvement, equipment/furniture needing replacement and ensuring that such improvements are implemented.
Operational project management for new builds including furniture and equipment sourcing and logistics
Hands-on and energetic, this individual will need to lead from the front for camp openings and refurbs
Roll out of new operational improvements across 12 camps as required.
Ensure that operational standards and policies are being adhered to
Implement measures and systems to improve cost efficiency and the internal and external customer experience
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of Operations Manager role in the safari/hospitality industry, managing multiple camps/properties
Experience in budgeting and financial management.
Valid driver's licence with 4x4 experience an advantage
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER (MAUN-BASED)
Managing and supervising the Operations team, including hiring, training, evaluating, and motivating them
Monitoring and evaluating the performance and quality of the Operations department and identifying and resolving any issues or problems.
Managing and optimizing the budget, inventory, equipment, and resources of the Operations department
Collaborating and communicating with other managers, departments, and stakeholders to ensure coordination and alignment of the operations.
Analyzing and reporting on the operational data, trends, and outcomes, and providing recommendations for improvement
Supplier management and negotiation
Procurement of operational equipment for existing and new camps
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years in Hotel/Lodge Procurement or safari Operations Management
Valid drivers licence
Strong analytical, organisational and negotiation skills required.
