The two motorsport disciplines, off-racing and motocross, will be shutting down the 2024 motorsport calendar. BORRC, the first ever car off-road racing will host the fourth and final round of the inaugural competition in Rakola Settlement, near Metsimotlhabe village in Kweneng District dubbed 'Rakola250'. It is set up to be a thrilling finale as, despite just a round to race, there is no clear favourite for the maiden BORRC honours whilst 34 winners' points remain available across the categories. Leading the FIA Category is the Dakar Rally competing duo of Brian Baragwanath and co-driver Leonard Cremer. The pair has accumulated an impressive 34 points but the championship remains open, with Lood Du Preez and co-driver Adriaan Roots at 22 points, and Eugene Bierman alongside Dieter De Wet, both close behind with 19 points. With 34 points still to be claimed, Du Preez and Bierman remain strong contenders to seize the overall victory. Local talent shines in the Production Vehicle Category with the Sound City Toyota Hilux team, led by Altaf Maher and co-driver Ahmed Jada, who command a substantial lead at 82 points.

Hot on their heels are fellow compatriots Shaheed Amin and Imraan Arbi in their Landcruiser Flying Cargo Racing with 52 points. The competition can still see dramatic shifts as the leading packs can battle for the final 34 points available in the championship. The Lightweight Vehicle Category is a nail-biter, as a mere three points separate the top contenders. Current leaders, the local DBR Racing team's Polaris RZR, driven by Dan Moskovich and co-driver Eric Visser, are just ahead of the Sekoma team's Molopo Transport in the Yamaha YX1000 with driver Stefan Eloff and co-driver Jacob Brunette.

This will be a closely watched battle as competitors fight for every advantage. In the Special Vehicle Category, Mohammed Noor and co-driver Reza Noble currently lead by 32 points. However, a mechanical setback for Noor's vehicle might prevent them from competing in the Rakola 250, opening up opportunities for newcomers Waseem Hussain and Muhammad Desai to claim the title. Meanwhile, the BMS MX Championship will have the fifth and sixth rounds in a season finale to be held in Mmopane Tracks. The finale dubbed MX Mania will determine the overall and category winners of the 2024 season. It is a double-point event with round five on Saturday and Sunday with the sixth and final round.
