FINANCE MANAGER

A large Botswana-based Group invites applications for the position of Finance Manager based in Francistown for their Manufacturing and Plant Hire Division.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will form part of the Management Committee responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management. Responsibilities include:

Influencing the board's strategic direction and profitability of the Division through effective analysis of the portfolio. Enforcing and improving financial discipline through systems, IT, procedures and regular reporting.

Effectively managing debtors, expenses and budgetary control. Efficient cash flow management, managing investments, financial planning, taxation, and audit handling.

Preparing feasibility reports and exploring new opportunities to increase the profitability of the business.

Presentation of financial reports at Board meetings.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS:

CA or CIMA with over 25 years of qualification experience gained in a large business environment, preferably manufacturing, is essential. Must be an associate or fellow member of BICA.

Working knowledge of computerised accounting systems is desirable. Preference to candidates with experience in working with Syspro. Any additional finance-related qualification would be an added advantage.

Dynamic, energetic and results-driven individual, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
