GENERAL MANAGER - URGENT VACANCY
A leading hospitality group with properties in Kasane, Ghanzi and Gaborone is looking for the services of a General Manager- Hotel Operations in Gaborone.
Oversee all aspects of hotel management in accordance with the company mission statement, including maximizing financial performance, guest satisfaction and staff development with established quality standards.
Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations.
Develop accurate and aggressive long- and short-range financial objectives consistent with the company’s mission statement.
Execute marketing, sales and operational activities producing results that meet or exceed the hotel’s business plan.
Manage, with the Banqueting Manager and Restaurant Manager running of events and conferences.
Carry out inspection of property and services to ensure standards of the Hotel are met.
Maintain hotel cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with regulatory standards.
Manage and maintain administration of all reservations, cancellations and no-shows in line with the company policy.
PRE- REQUISITES:
Excellent revenue management skills with experience in budgets, P&Ls and forecasting. Working with colleagues to share skills, knowledge, resources and networks. Highly focused, have excellent communication skills, be motivated and professional in appearance and presentation.
QUALIFICATION
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management. Computer Knowledge, MS Office. Experience in Property Management Software, Revenue Management Systems desired.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 20 years’ experience in managing big hotels (above 100 beds).
