VACANCIES

We invite applicants who believe in educating children to be creative, independent and motivated learners. Thornhill is one of the leading private primary schools in Botswana, established in 1966. We currently have over 600 pupils from over 40 different nations around the world. The School has excellent facilities providing a caring and nurturing environment in which each child is able to develop his or her full potential. We are seeking candidates, with suitable qualifications, to fill the following positions:

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or ICT

• Teaching Qualifications such as PGCE

• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience

• Excellent command of both written and spoken English.

• Class Teachers (Foundation Phase - Standard 7)

• Interactive Learning Programme Developer with a knowledge of Cambridge Primary & Junior Secondary Checkpoints and experience in School Information Management System (SIMS)

• Google Teacher Level 1 & 2 Certification, knowledge of the Cambridge framework or taught in a CIE school, must have Robotics and Coding knowledge, be familiar with the Adobe Suite. An up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current ICT pedagogy in a primary school environment as well as knowledge of 3D printing

• If applying for the Foundation Phase, an understanding, knowledge and experience of the Early Years Development will be an added advantage.

All the above teachers must be able to add value to the extra

Curricular Programme and must be computer literate.
