Director Group Operations (Hospitality)

Requirements: Minimum of 12 years experience in hospitality operations

*Main responsibility to actively oversee the operations of 3 lodge properties, several remote luxury safari camps and development of additional remote luxury camps. The properties are in a wide spread of Botswana’s major tourism locations, including Chobe, the Makgadikgadi Pans and the Okavango Delta

*A minimum of 8 years experience in a similar position and a proven track record of successfully managing large and small individual and multiple property lodge, resort and luxury camp operations

*Experience in tourism operations in both urban and remote environments and in the many facets of tourism, such as hotels, lodges, camps and associated activities is required

Hotel/hospitality qualifications are mandatory

*Prior experience of project management in relation to the design and development of new safari camps and lodges is obligatory

*Proven knowledge of tourism marketing and the ability to identify and engage new markets and maintain existing relationships in key source markets is essential

*The successful candidate needs to be honest, self motivated and self-driven

*Must have excellent planning and organisational skills

*Natural leader and team player and must be able to fully delegate to senior general managers and financial managers and to manage their performance

Will be responsible for the operational, developmental financial and marketing obligations of the group, staff and HR issues, maintenance of the physical products and identification of new opportunities

*Reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Directors
