PUBLIC NOTICE

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study for the proposed building of an Office Block at Plot 703 Kasane by Electrical Reticulation Systems (Pty) Ltd.

In line with the Environmental Assessment (EA) Act (Cap 65:07), which prescribes the consultation of interested and affected stakeholders during the undertaking of an Environmental Impact Assessment, the community of Jwaneng and surrounding areas is hereby invited to public consultation Kgotla Meeting at the below-listed venue.

Proposed developments entail the following features;

Construction of an office block.

Demolition of existing building

Construction of new building

Potential Positive Impacts

Employment creation

Improved availability of office accommodation in the Kasane area

Improved utilisation of land

Potential negative Impacts

Noise nuisance

Dust emission

Land pollution

Potential surface and groundwater contamination
