Broadhurst Police Station commander, Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae said they received the report on the matter at around 3am. He said the three masked men allegedly broke into the house, pounced on them in an attack, and started demanding money, threatening them with sharp objects and something that resembled a gun.

“The criminals have destroyed everything in the house from mattresses to the ceiling whilst searching for money.

They ended up getting away with P30,000, $5,000, eight phones, which amongst them five were still new, a laptop, ATM cards and their Toyota Hiace truck popularly known as Matshelonyana worth P140,000,” Lokae revealed. He said they have not yet made a breakthrough in this matter but investigations are ongoing to locate the suspects and retrieve stolen valuables including the car.

The station commander said the victims have sustained bruises as criminals were allegedly beating them demanding money.
