Kwa Nokeng Oil sponsors young biker with P120,000

Moabi, who is only seven years old, is touted as the next big thing in motorsport as he has already established himself by bagging a podium finish in southern Africa. Speaking at the launch of the sponsorship, Kwa Nokeng Oil general manager, Dickson Nyepi, said Moabi is already a force to reckon with for what he has achieved as a young boy.
He emphasised that Moabi’s heroics prompted them to support the passion and dream of his career. “We are here for Maobi and as Kwa Nokeng, we have been following his trade for quite some time and we were really amazed by his skill as a young child. He is an amazing talent that caught our attention," he said.
“We saw that he is really worth supporting as early as now and his passion resonates well with our business and we see him exemplifying what Kwa Nokeng stands for,” Nyepi added. Although the sponsorship deal is for this financial year, Nyepi highlighted that there is room for extending it for many years to come.
“We are giving him a total package of P120,000 as an appreciation from us and this is to encourage him to continue doing well as we may have the next star in him at events like the Dakar Rally,” he said. Moabi's manager, Thuso Majaga, hailed Kwa Nokeng's support for the young biker who is tipped to be the next Ross Branch. “We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kwa Nokeng for supporting this talent as this sport is really an expensive endeavour as we travel. But ever since this company supported us, we have been having fewer challenges,” Majaga said.
He further said it was a humbling gesture as most corporates prefer working with established brands. The young boy, who is in Standard Three, is expected to travel to Johannesburg, South Africa, this weekend to prepare for a competition on April 29 in Bloemfontein. In his young career, Moabi has won the Kopong200 race, Desert Rats, Metsimotlhabe200 BMS National Championship, Botswana Motorsport race and D9F last year in SA. He also finished third in the Dunlop GXCC race.
