The motion was passed by Jwaneng Netball Club chairperson, Sebataladi Ramoitoi, and it was supported by other clubs. Drama started unfolding in the morning when the members of the executive committee who were already not forming a quorum, were requested to step outside the meeting venue by the clubs.

The request was made after clubs refused to adopt the agenda of the meeting. The AGM proceeded after clubs took their time discussing the future of the association. Passing the motion, Ramoitoi argued that the meeting cannot proceed when the executive committee had failed to provide affiliates with the 2023 AGM minutes, 2024 annual report and financial report.

The meeting was also to receive reports from the zones.

“The constitution explains that we should receive those documents seven days before the AGM. We needed the president to explain to us why we were not given those documents,” he said. Ramoitoi told SportMonitor that Raditladi-Nkgakile informed the affiliates that her executive committee is divided and that has paralysed the national executive committee.

He said it also emerged that they had attempted to resolve issues around the committee but the attempt was not successful. He said such a committee is not fit to take the association forward. Raditladi-Nkgakile is removed from office, a few months after being voted into the Africa Netball board. She was serving a second term in office after winning the elections in 2021.

Raditladi-Nkgakile has been replaced by Onkemetse Mpudi, who was her opponent during the elections, the vice president-projects is Bakwadi Nthwane, the new PRO is Stanley Modibedi and SDO is Florah Kedibonye.
