The new queen impressed judges during the question and answer session where she was asked about the essence of being a woman in today's world. Her answer was that a woman is to treat everyone with love, care and honour. She added that a woman has to empower everyone to be whoever they wanted to be.

She also said a woman must be a role model and also believe in herself. With that answer, she was named the second Miss Supranational Botswana and was crowned by the former queen, Dabilo Moses who had her last walk as she bid her fans goodbye.

Moses also thanked the organisers, family and friends for their support throughout her reign. She also promised to continue working with the pageant organisers (Something Big) and also help the new queen, Barobetse, in her journey towards preparations for the international pageantry since she has first-hand experience.

Meanwhile, Kefilwe Gabonakemo and Seabe Sefakonyane won the first and second runner-up positions respectively.

However, all the top 10 finalists ran a good race making the judges’ job difficult.

From the very first day, the organisers have proved to have chosen the best competitors and all the young women were in the pageant to win. Barobetse, who said she had been trying her luck in the pageantry industry for some time and did not make it to the top three, has now finally realised her dreams.

For the first time, she outshone fellow beautiful and intelligent young women. The women’s swim wear parade was colourful as they wore orange swim suits with green scarfs. Their other breathtaking parade was the suit parade where they looked gorgeous in their white stylish suits from skirts and blazers, shorts and blazers, jumpsuits with matching blazers to trousers and blazers.

Their evening gown parade was top notch as well. Their hairstyles and make up were great. Furthermore, the deco and lighting of the event were magnificent. This time around Something Big out did themselves. Regardless of their lack of funds and support, they made sure they kept their brand intact. The event set up was also magical.

The revellers also complimented the event by making a fashion statement. Local songstress, Samantha Mogwe treated the audiences to beautiful melodies while the contestants did their evening gown parade and afterwards. The event was hosted by the Khoisan duo who kept the audience intrigued.

They also treated the revellers to some of their songs making the day memorable. The long awaited silver Havaal car, which is believed to be the former queen’s grand prize was parked by the entrance branded Something Big and Miss Supranational Botswana.
