All the poetry songs in the album are an eye opener to many as they dish out some great advice to listeners on different aspects of life. Kgweba gained fame during the President’s Day Competitions under the poetry category where he reached the finals. However, he never scooped the first position in all the five years he took part in the competition. Despite all that, his talent cannot go unnoticed.

His new album is a testimony to this. In an interview with Arts&Culture, Kgweba said he composed all the eight poetry songs, which are integral to the lyrics of the album. They include Phetogo, Africa, Marea, Mokgoreletsi, Tautona, Botswana, Tanki MYSC and Tshwaragano. He said in the album, he worked with the youth from his home village, Molepolole, whose voices can be heard in some of the songs. He added that he was more famous for poetry than music while some people know him as a fine art artist. Furthermore, Kgweba said even though he recorded the album in 2020, he did not sell or market it initially.

He explained that it was because he needed someone to help him market it. He also said he wanted to shoot its video but lacked finances to do that. Moreover, he said after failing his BGCSE, he did not study further since he was passionate about craftsmanship. He became part of House Men drama group because he was also captivated about both drama and folklore poetry. Even though he loves poetry, he said he uses it to give advice especially about things that happen around him. He said a lot of painful things are happening and found and he found it fit to provide guidance and advise on how to live positively. His song, Maria, is about a young woman who enjoyed her life to the fullest forgetting about her loved ones who were suffering. However, according to the song, Maria died and left her children behind.

At the time, her children were left with her angry brother who sought revenge and left them to suffer saying their mother enjoyed her life and so he wanted to enjoy his life as well. “My song Diphetogo is about the changes that happened in life. I also have a song where I talk to Africa about HIV that has claimed many lives in the past. I have also written some books that I have not yet published. In all of my books, I offer some advises. I would have published them if I were not broke. I wrote a poetry book and a novel titled Temana Tsa Botshelo,” he said. He further explained that as upcoming artists, they have a lot of financial challenges. He stated that he was well known in Molepolole but it is not easy for him to get financial assistance. He said lack of finance made it hard for them to grow. He also said he needed bookings. He advised fellow upcoming artists to seek help and collaborate with others.
