Miss Supranational selects top 12 finalists

According to Miss Supranational Botswana spokesperson, Kaone Moremong, the pageantry has proven to be among the biggest and fashionable beauty pageants in the country.
She explained that the 12 were selected during a magnificent and vibey Top Model and talent showcase at the Game City rooftop in Gaborone, a top notch event which captivated the audience.
She added that it was the top of the art production ranging from the stage, the lighting. She added that the showcase itself proved that indeed the local pageantry and fashion industry has grown immensely to match international standards. "The top 30 contestants showcased their talent in front of a panel of judges who had a tough task of selecting the Top 11.
We had three sets of judges, one set for Top Talent, another set for Top Model and the third set was the Miss Supranational team that selected the other nine contestants. The Top talent and Top Model judges were made up of individuals who are experts in the Talent and Model scouting fields. The ladies had been accumulating points since the beginning of the competition and these points were tallied up to get the other nine contests with one contestant being selected by public SMS voting," she explained. Moremong added that the contestants walked the ramp donning highly fashionable local designer clothes.
She pointed out that the designers who showcased their lines included Feura by Florence Radisweng, La Letsatsi by Lerang Keabile, Fashion Tips by Lucia Lesego Matumba, Tasha Creationz by Natasha Selelo, Fierce Designs by Lulu Kgoane and Faonic Designs by Faonaya Charles. She said the Best in Talent as well as the most voted for contestants through Short Message Service (SMS) were automatically added to the top 12.
The selected top 12 will be going for a boot camp in preparations for the grand finale which will be on March 6, 2024. Moreover, Moremong said the winner of Miss Supranational crown will represent the country in Poland in July. The pageant is hosted by a company called Something Big, which became the first license holders of the pageant in Botswana.
