However, he feels that the World Athletics did not follow the right channels in arriving at the decision to revoke. “I received a call from World Athletics asking me to give the meet to Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) after they had asked if I had a stadium of my own and money which I don’t have. “That is when they wrote a letter to me stating that I should hand over the rights to BNSC in 15 minutes or my contract will be cancelled,” Dube said. He stated that 15 minutes passed and the contract was cancelled which left him agitated wondering if that is the right way to go about things.

“We then received a letter of cancellation of the contract, but I want to say we then wrote a letter to World Athletics showing discomfort,” he said. “I will fight this thing until the end and if Rob, our former consultant from World Athletics is part of the meet I will fight even more.” Dube added that even if threats come to him or his life he will still fight the decision made. “Procedure was not followed, and the contract was terminated in 15 minutes, where have you seen that? Even in the constitution it shows that what they did is wrong,” Dube said. He stated that World Athletics has not reverted back to them, saying “we are still waiting on the response from them hopefully a good one.”
