No16 District officer commanding, Senior Superintendent Nicholas Kadiatla stated that the incident took place at around 8pm when the victim was alone at home.
Describing the ordeal, Kadiatla explained that while the victim was still getting ready, she heard a knock at the door. Upon opening it, a known intruder entered, brandishing a knife and threatening her before committing the assault. “The victim reported that the suspect, who fled the crime scene afterwards, is someone known to her,” he said. “Efforts are underway to locate the suspect, who is still at large. I advise him to surrender to Machaneng police.”
