Maje scoops Miss Pedleen Stars Botswana crown

“In 2022 I was crowned Miss Cross Country first princess. The very same year, I was crowned Little Miss Junior Idol World Botswana second princess and I represented Botswana in Thailand for Miss Junior Idol World 2023 where I was awarded Rising Star. When I was Miss Pedleen Stars Botswana Queen under the Pearl category it was mixed emotions for me. I was excited and scared at the same time.
The new crown means so much to me,” she explained. Maje further pointed out that winning the crown was a big deal for her as it proved that her hard work and commitment had paid off. She added that she is going to use the crown to look for sponsors for her project, Puoeng Anele Maje Trust Fund. She explained that the project aims to give back to less privileged children and also to train young girls in modelling. “The support I get from my family and friends keeps me going. My dream is to bring back an international crown home that is why I work so hard.
"I have won six awards namely the Best Evening Gown, Best Traditional Attire, Best Traditional Performance, Best Talent Attire, Best Photogenic and Rising Star awards. However, it is a big challenge juggling between schoolwork and my hobbies, as I am also a karateka, a dancer and a model. I have a tight schedule that I stick to but I also make time to play with my friends,” she said. For a girl her age, Maje is surely a busy person with a bright future ahead.
Despite her hectic daily schedule, this young girl has her life figured out. She also joined Fashion design classes at MET Kids Designs because she said she plans to have a clothing line dubbed Puoeng Anele Maje Designs. Her advice to fellow girls is that they should be confident, believe in themselves and push until they make it. She added that she was passionate about giving back to the Community. This beauty with brains expressed that she also wants to be a lawyer because she is passionate about justice, fairness and equality.
