Patrons enjoy chilled vibes at No Half Time Party

Although January is not the best month for music promoters to do shows, the organisers of No Half Time Party nevertheless have continued with the January event annually, and the event has proven to be a hit.

The once small-time chill session has over the years become the season’s opener, offering fun lovers some time to unwind after the festive period and has continued to attract a sizeable crowd proving its popularity. The event started in the afternoon as a chill session with people relaxing on their camp chairs listening to soothing music.

Different DJs, all local, ensured that the crowd enjoyed their time as they catered for everyone by playing different music genres. As the sun set, it was now party time as fun lovers put aside their camp chairs and hit the dance floor. The DJs also picked up the tempo to keep up with the mood of the revellers who were having some nice time out.

The line-up included Swag Kids DJs, DJ KSB, DJ Jika and Dallas, Chopsy, Khenzo, Stu, Frostbite, Luke, Garvi, Law, Call Out, King Martin88, Luckie Baggio, Mabbe Dee and Earth. In no time, it was already midnight as time flew by without most people noticing and patrons seemingly wanted to party non-stop.

While most DJ’s sets were dominated by Amapiano songs, Frostbite decided to spice things up with some nice Hip Hop tunes. MCs Theo and Phlyhoney also did their part and ensured that the crowd was engaged throughout as DJs took turns on the turntables. It was a chilled session befitting of a season opener, as the No Half Time Party officially opened the 2024 music festival season in style.
