BFL officials face suspension

the BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti, arrived today from Ivory Coast where he had attended a CAF executive committee meeting, which took place on the side lines of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations finals. According to sources, the Emergency Committee will consider suspending two senior BFL officials over their involvement in a 'coup' that toppled chairperson, Nicholas Zakhemm, and director, Jagdish Shah, last month. Zakhem has since taken the case to BFA's Arbitration Tribunal, but the 'new' leadership has pressed ahead with new changes in the league.
This includes suspending Zakhem as a BFL shareholder as well as withdrawing a case against former Top 8 sponsor, Mascom, and changing signatories to BFL's bank account. In the unfolding events, the 'coup' leaders installed former BFA president, Tebogo Sebego, to replace Godfrey Ratlhaga as the new BFL chairperson.
