Superintendent Poloko Oteng of the Serowe Police said the finding was reported by a passerby last week Friday who then alerted the police, adding that investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of the man's death. It has since been established that the man worked as a herd-man at Lwalwe.
“After a long struggle, we managed to locate the deceased’s mother who later gave permission for the body to be buried in Serowe," he said. Oteng disclosed that there is a disturbing trend involving people who engage undocumented foreigners to work in their fields and cattle-posts, saying that this often causes delays in establishing their identities whenever such foreigners die and their relatives have to be traced.
He said in some cases even those who employ such people do not know their real particulars.
