Speaking to MmegiOnline, Superintendent Moses Serojane said the perpetrators are targeting businesses in the BHC houses near the Palapye junction.

He said the suspects involved in the robbery at the home of the Indian national have not been arrested.

In another case, an Ethiopian businessman was robbed was robbed of his laptop, car keys, phone, gate sensor and P6,850 in cash.

“The perpetrators also assaulted the victim during the robbery,” Serojane said.

In a separate incident also in the same location, thieves broke into a house and stole items worth P22,500.

Serojane urged the community to work with police to help identify and apprehend the perpetrators. He also encouraged residents to form neighbourhood watch groups or hire security companies to protect their homes while they are away.

Meanwhile, Palapye police are also investigating the death of a middle-aged Zimbabwean man, whose body was found near a public toilet. The identity of the man is still unknown.
