Magical Corona Sunsets in the rain

Held at an outdoor venue being the Duma FM grounds, the rain-kissed atmosphere added a touch of magic to an already enchanting sunset celebration. As the event began, revellers found themselves greeted by the warm shades of the setting sun but also by the soothing rain drops.

The rain was far from dampening spirits as it rather enhanced the ambiance casting a feel of jubilant mood over the entire gathering. The performances from the artists curated to match the mood of the event. Not only did they match the mood of the event, Corona Sunsets seemed to set itself above the rest as all artists on the line-up showed up for the event including South African artists, which is not so common.

The combination of performances and DJs created a symphony that blended seamlessly with the falling rain. On her debut performance in Botswana, SA Amapiano sensational vocalist, MaWhoo delivered an electrifying performance. As an artist, she did not let the falling rain despair her, rather she soldiered on and still delivered a captivating performance and got the revellers eating out of her palm. MaWhoo dished out a 15 minutes performance comprising of big-time hits from her albums.

The starlet’s hits consisted of songs like, Thokoza, Shona Kwelanga, Kulula, Dali Wam and Ngiyamthanda, among others. Her first performance locally was nothing but something of greatness as she left the patrons yearning for more when she left the stage. Before her, there were other acts who still performed with soothing rain falling down. The SA producer and DJ of Afro Tech, Mpho.Wav also gave the revellers the best of his side. Mpho.Wav’s started off his performance by giving Deena G, an upcoming artist from Botswana to perform their single together ‘Close Together’.

Throughout his performance, his set did not comprise any of Amapiano songs as he gave the patrons a feel of a blend of house, soulful and the now new 3-Step music. Tefo Foxx, who is also like Mpho.Wav as he is a producer and DJ of Afro Tech, also dished out an impeccable performance.

The Botswana born DJ showed people why he is one of the best DJs Botswana got as the fanatics danced throughout his performance. Other performances came from Shasha, Mpho Sebina and many others. Corona Sunsets was surely a magical experience for the patrons as they stayed until the event ended despite the rain and they will always reminisce on the magical experience.
