Botswana comes into the match after picking a win against Kenya despite starting the competition on a bad footing, losing to Zimbabwe. On the other hand, South Africa has won two matches, with the last being a 46-34 win against Zimbabwe.

Botswana is pinning her hopes on the likes of Karabo Kgomokhumo and Oscar Mphaleng inside the goal circle. Larona Matlhaga will handle business mid-court while Boiki Rathari and Hendrick Moalosi will be dealing with any threat from South Africa in defence.

Botswana coach, Boipelo Makwatse told MmegiOnline that the team is ready for the match and the mood is high in the camp.

"We are ready for South Africa but it is clear that they have been training together for a long time whilst we started camp last month. We did not have enough time to prepare for this tournament," Makwatse said. She admitted that they cannot beat South Africa but they will take the fight to their opponents. Makwatse said there are no changes to the starting line up that triumphed against Kenya. She said her players lacked mental strength when they started the competition but they have been working on that aspect.

Starting time: 7pm Venue: UB Indoor Sport Centre.
