The Galaxy Stars began the CAF Champions League group stages journey with a 1-0 win over Wydad Casablanca in game played at the Grand Stade De Marrakech, Morocco. It was the first victory by a local side in this stage of the competition as Lesagaripa are making their second group stages appearance. Ramoreboli, following the win, stormed out of the post match press conference after a Moroccan journalist insinuated that Galaxy used muti or black magic in their historic win.

"You are being unfair," Ramoreboli told the journalist. "I said they were doing warm up, they did warm up before the game. You are undermining me, you are saying we won because of black magic, don't disrespect us," Ramoreboli said in a widely shared video on social media platforms.

The gaffer had travelled with his side more than half day to reach Morocco. The team had to adjust to the humid conditions in the northern Africa state. Galaxy faced the third ranked team in Africa and the local side remains the lowest ranked team in the competition.

Ramoreboli was aware of the threat his opponents posed. The team showed a great defensive structure as on the night, Galaxy faced 22 shots with nine on target. The local side only managed four shots at goal and only two were on target. Galaxy were willing to let the home side enjoy the ball possession and they managed 20% on the night. They had a single corner kick with Wydad having 12. Lesagaripa managed to score on the 33rd minute of the match as Thabang Sesinyi captilised on a poor back pass and lobbed over the goalkeeper to silence the local fans. Galaxy now sit nicely at the top of Group B as group rivals ASEC Mimosas and Simba SC played to a 1-1 draw. The local champions will look to make it two out of two when they host Simba at the Obed Itani Chilume stadium this Saturday.
