The BSA public relations officer, Kelebogile Monyake told SportMonitor that the virtual OGM could not proceed because most of the members did not log in. She said as such, the only wise decision was to cancel the meeting. “The agenda of the meeting was to sanction policy amendment, its adoption and discuss the player transfer policy.

So now that could not happen due to the situation we found ourselves in. I do not know why the members decided not to turn up. Maybe BSA president, Katlholo Mosimanegape might have an idea. But I think regarding the members of the BSA executive committee, it seems like they advanced their excuses to the president ahead of the meeting,” Monyake said.

However, it seems like there is more than what meets the eye within the association. SportMonitor is informed that there is tension between South Zone affiliates and the BSA executive committee. A source said the affiliates did not attend the meeting because there was a time they requested an audience with the executive committee. The request was turned down because the affiliates wanted to complain about the way transfers were being done.
