It was not just a competition for goodies but an experience that taught participants the art of mixing delicious and well-balanced cocktails. During these experiences, people made cocktails and mixologists delivered the verdict on each of the cocktails made.

The competition created fun experiences that facilitated socialising while mixing drinks that suit palates. It also celebrated essence and gave guests of all backgrounds the chance to explore exciting flavours, and celebrate the incredible Gin industry.

It is also worth noting from the judges’ comments that contestants created delicious cocktails and lasting memories. They were able to use whatever tonic water or soda they wanted including the perfect garnish. After making their cocktails as detailed as possible, they were required to explain how they made the drink. Judges looked at among others whether the drink's composition from the recipe appear to be balanced. Contestants also named their cocktail and the judges looked at whether thought had been put into the presentation of the cocktail. Judges also considered the garnish appearance and if there was enough ice or chill on the glass. With various Gin brands on the day, guests were able to indulge in the extraordinary. They indeed embarked on a captivating journey as they stepped into the cave of Peermont’s own craft Gins. Various Gin distributers on the day ignited their senses and whisked them away on a truly spirited adventure.

There was really something to captivate every palate with a staggering selection of the best gins the world has to offer. With enough coupons to taste every gin brand, guests experienced the thrill of tastings, the enchantment of artisanal spirits, and the solidarity of a vibrant gin community.

Now back to the weather, which almost ruined the experience; it was consoling for the organisers because the guests did not let the bad weather dampen their mood. In these kinds of outdoor events, everyone hopes for a sunny day with clear skies but Mother Nature often has different plans and thankfully for the gin lovers, the quality of the event did not suffer because of rain. The organisers also did not melt at the first sign of a dark cloud and they had carefully planned for any possible contingency. An option of moving indoor was there but guests did not have a problem especially after such hot couple of days. Instead of dreading the rain, the guests made the most of the bad weather. They were not going to fall apart because of some rain.

Overall guests discovered hidden gems, rare finds, and innovative concoctions crafted by passionate artisans. Entertainment on the day was also top notch with DJ Lehatshe warming up the fans on a chilly afternoon while Chrispin The Drummer took guests through an incredible evening.
