The victim had told the police that she had met her ex-boyfriend on Saturday night at a Chibuku depot in Leshibitse village. She alleges he threatened her and then forced her to go with him to his house, whereupon arrival, he allegedly raped her.

Confirming to investigation into the matter, Dibete Police Station commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku said they received the report of the incident on Sunday early morning.

"We have since arrested the suspect and he is currently in police custody as we investigate the matter. The victim said they met at a local depot and later on, the suspect threatened and forced her to go with him to Temesele cattlepost where he reportedly raped her," he said.
