Reports are that the coach’s representatives in South Africa, Brand Arc Group have submitted a formal proposal to Chiefs. Amakhosi, as Chiefs are known, are expected to undergo changes in their technical set up very soon, following the sacking of head coach Molefi Ntseki. Ntseki left with some members of his technical team. Chiefs do not have a substantive technical team after Calvin Johnson was brought in to lead the team on an interim basis. This week Galaxy spokesperson, Tankiso Morake, expressed optimism that Ramoreboli will not ditch the club any time soon. “He is very loyal to the club. He has a project at Galaxy. We sat down with him and he has assured us that he is not going anywhere,” Morake said. “He has indicated that when he wants to leave, he will timely and professionally notify the club. A lot of big clubs have been pursuing him, but he is very professional and respects his contract with Galaxy,” he added.

Ramoreboli has previously been linked with Gaborone United and Township Rollers, two of the biggest clubs in the country. Lately, there were amplified calls that he should be considered for the Zebras job following the dismissal of Mogomotsi 'Teenage' Mpote. It was also reported that some in the BFA executive wanted him to take over the national team. The association later settled for Frenchman, Didier Gomes da Rosa. “It is very gratifying to hear people speaking so positively about Ramoreboli. It is, however, not surprising because he is doing a good job. In football, when you are doing well there will always be such plaudits,”

Morake told Mmegi Sport. Ramoreboli won the league with Galaxy last season and recently, helped the club to secure a place in the group stages of the continent’s biggest club football competition, the CAF Champions League. This is the second time that he has helped Galaxy to advance to the group stages of the Champions League. Galaxy currently lead the domestic league with 12 points from five rounds of matches. Prior to joining Galaxy, Ramoreboli won the COSAFA Cup with Bafana Bafana. He spent the formative years of his career coaching lower league clubs in SA. He is contracted to Galaxy until the end of the season.
