Chiefs winless streak continues

Magosi are yet to register a victory after three round of matches played this season. On Saturday, they played to a disappointing 0-0 draw against Hawks, which left them sitting at the bottom half of the league table.
The Kgatleng giants had been favoured to be amongst the strong candidates to win the league but their disappointing start to the season leaves them with a mountain to climb.
From three matches, they have only collected two points and most embarrassingly yet to score a single goal. While the team continues to struggle to get results on the pitch, there are concerns and fears that this may be worsened by recurring off field issues which continue to rock the club.
At a time when many Magosi supporters were beginning to believe that internal battles for the control of the club are over, there are reports that the team's two warring factions will be back in court. By yesterday afternoon, Chiefs were sitting at position nine, an unfamiliar territory for the former Premier League giants since they relegated to the lower division.
Meanwhile, Mogoditshane Fighters, who are also finding the going gets tough early in the season, collected their second point from three matches when they played to a 2-2 draw with high-flying Extension Gunners on Saturday. The match was hosted at a much more spacious Holy Ghost Park and once again, Gunners supporters came in large numbers.
The draw leaves Gunners on seven points from three games, level with Notwane who registered their second successive victory on Saturday. Notwane kick-started their campaign against Hawks and only managed to settle for a draw.
However, they bounced back in the next game before they beat City Polar by a solitary goal on Saturday. By yesterday afternoon, they were sitting at position two after dethroning Young Stars who were scheduled to play against Tlokweng United on the same day. Desert Nxau remains rooted at the bottom of the log with one point. They lost 2-1 at home against Union Flamengo Santos.
