Four injured in serious car accident

The accident occurred after a 32-year-old woman, who was driving a Polo Vivo, lost control of her car and ended up colliding with a Toyota Hilux that was driven by a 48-year-old man.

Broadhurst Police Station commander, Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae said the Toyota Hilux had three people on board, the driver and his two male passengers aged 35 and 39 whilst the woman was alone in her vehicle.

“The female driver was rushed to Gaborone Private Hospital (GPH) unconscious, but later on during the day she managed to regain her consciousness,” Lokae said.

“The Toyota Hilux driver sustained a fractured left thigh, his other passenger (35) sustained fractured right thigh whist another one, a 39-year-old Zimbabwean man is complaining of chest pains. All of them are currently hospitalised at the GPH.”
