Broadhurst Police Station Commander, Superintendent Obusitwe Lokae said the accident occurred when the 44-year-old man, who was driving north from south, hit on the victim suspected to have been attempting to cross the road.

“We do not really know what transpired and where the victim was coming from or going to that late in that area especially that there are no residential places in that area for him to end up being hit a car.

He was rushed to Extension 2 Clinic where he was certified dead on arrival by the doctors,” he said. Lokae said the victim did not have any form of identification in his possession and investigations into the matter are ongoing to establish who he is, his age and where he was and heading to.

“We suspect that he might in his 30s and currently his corpse is lying at the Doves Funeral Parlour in Gaborone whilst we are trying to locate his family. We are pleading with members of the public who have not seen or contacted any of their male family member to come and identify the deceased,” Lokae said.
