Shumba Ratshega dramatically quit music in 2017 to join the spiritual world as a prophet however, the Makhirikhiri hitmaker has since resurfaced and is expected to drop a new album titled 'Kamoso Ke Motholo'.

Shumba Ratshega said during a press conference Tuesday that his resurrection has been long overdue as people have constantly implored him to release music again. He alluded that it was not only his local fans who called for his return but also his international fans who wanted more from him. “It is true that I am back and this only by the grace of God that I managed to come back. I missed singing as it is something that I love doing and my fans, both locally and international from countries such as South Africa, Lesotho and others have been pleading with me to return,” Shumba Ratshega said. On his second coming, Shumba Ratshega said he will cherish God in everything that he does.

He said he will continue to praise the Lord and seek His guidance in this journey. “In my next chapter of my music career, I will not perform anywhere where God has not sent me or make songs that do not speak anything of the man above,” he said. The teary Shumba Ratshega said people should not think that he is rich as he has nothing to his name. He stated that people should desist from thinking that churches make money especially the ones that focus on preaching the word of God. Despite all this, the renowned traditional singer expressed that he is here to stay and will take his talent more seriously unlike before. “I am here to make great music again as you all know that was what I was known for. I have the burning desire to be great again,” he revealed. His album is scheduled to be launched on November 11 at Millenium Jazz Café in Mogoditshane.
