Nigeria and Benin's bid will reportedly get the 2029 tournament, although the CAF executive committee meets on Wednesday to decide only on the winners of the 2025 and 2027.

Botswana is bidding for the 2027 tournament, but media reports in Algeria indicate the process has been predetermined. As a result, reports in Algeria say the country has pulled out and will instead focus on consolidating its infrastructure development. Algeria accuses CAF of corruption as the outcome has already been decided.

Botswana and other bidding countries have been given 10minutes to make presentations before the CAF executive committee, which will then make a decision. Minister of Youth, Sport, Gender and Culture, Tumiso Rakgare leads a six-member delegation that left today for Cairo where the announcement on both the 2025 and 2027 will be made on Wednesday.
