This unfortunate event unfolded in the Sekobidi cattle post on the outskirts of Mokoswane village on Thursday. No.16 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Nicholas Kadiatla provided details regarding the incident.

The deceased, a native of Mokoswane, did not leave behind any message or indication of what might have driven him to take such a drastic step. Investigations into the matter are currently underway. “The deceased was found by his elder brother on Thursday morning hanging from his roof rafters and reported the matter to the police.

He was certified dead on arrival at a Mahalapye hospital,” he said. Kadiatla emphasised the importance of seeking help from third parties, such as traditional leaders (dikgosi), social workers, or the police, when facing troubles instead of resorting to suicide. He expressed his concern over the prevalence of suicide cases in his policing area and urged the public to reach out for support rather than taking such extreme measures.
