Marina refurbishes wards, relocate patients to SKMTH

According to PMH superintendent, Keemenao Sampisi, said the refurbishment will mainly target gynaecology ward, maternity one and two wards, paediatric wards (medical and surgical), male and female medical, and surgical wards and the private ward.
He explained that those developments would be carried out in phases, in line with the renovation plan to minimize interruptions to inpatient care services and consideration of patients and visitors safety.
“The public is informed that the paediatric medical ward inpatients have been relocated to Sir Ketumile Masire Teaching Hospital (SKMTH) from September 18, 2023 until the renovations are complete.
The movement will ensure patients and their family safety as well as facilitation of smooth and uninterrupted works. Visiting hours are as follows; from 7am to 7:30am, 1pm to 2pm, 4pm to 5:30pm and 7pm to 7:30pm,” he said.
Furthermore, he said the public would be regularly updated on any developments during the refurbishment period. He added that PMH would continue to provide high level of care to patients during that period.
