On Friday, along the A12 road, a 58-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a Mercedes Benz while attempting to cross the road near Shell Filling Station close to the Mogoditshane kgotla traffic lights at approximately 12:30am.

Deputy Divisional Traffic Officer South Central, Boiki Mojalemotho stated that the Mercedes Benz was driven by a 42-year-old Zimbabwean man. "Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

The victim sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalised at Bokamoso Private Hospital," he said. On the same night, another accident occurred when a car carrying three passengers collided with a VW Polo along New Lobatse road near the Phase 4 turn-off.

"The trio was passengers in a Toyota Hilux. One of the vehicles was joining the main road while the other driver was proceeding straight when the accident occurred.

One of the passengers, a 23-year-old man, sustained fractured legs and is currently admitted at Gaborone Private Hospital. Both drivers escaped the accident with minor injuries and were treated and released the same day," Mojalemotho said.

The VW Polo driver, a 26-year-old man, was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident. In a separate serious accident on Saturday night at around 10:45pm along Segoditshane way near Marang traffic lights, a pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a speeding car.
