Man, 45, kills teacher lover

'On September 4, we received a report from security officers at Meepong Junior Secondary School that they had apprehended an individual who had brutally injured a 45-year-old female teacher,' Letlakadiatla stated.

Upon arriving at the school premises, they discovered a crime scene involving teachers and security officers who had detained the suspect.

'We arrived at the scene, and the security officers handed us the suspect. By that time, the victim had already been rushed to Selebi Phikwe government hospital,' he explained.

Regrettably, the female teacher was declared deceased upon arrival at the hospital, Letlakadiatla confirmed.

He noted that they have presently apprehended the 47-year-old suspect from Letlhakane, who is cooperating with their investigation.

'The suspect is still in our custody. From our interrogations, the suspect quarrelled with the deceased earlier on, before the tragedy. It appears to us that the two people were lovers and he used to visit her a lot,' Letlakadiatla revealed. Furthermore, he mentioned that they are awaiting post-mortem results to determine the exact cause of the teacher's demise. In conclusion, the station commander appealed to the public to abstain from committing such heinous crimes and pledged that anyone breaking the law would face legal consequences.
