Double Action on the brink of history

The team faces Mozambique's Costa da Sol in the semi finals, edging closer to the inaugural CAF Women's Champions League finals. The two sides will clash at noon at Durban's Sugar Ray Stadium.
Double Action sailed through to the knockout stages, topping Group A with seven points. The local champions began their campaign with a 1-1 draw against defending champions Green Buffaloes.
They then secured a 1-0 victory over Lesotho Defence Force in the second group stage match. Double Action concluded the group stages with a convincing 4-0 win over Malawi's Ntopwa, earning them a spot in the final four. This marks the team's third consecutive appearance in the semi finals, but they have yet to reach the final. Costa da Sol secured their semi final spot by finishing second in Group B, behind the 2021 champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
In the other semi final, Sundowns will face Green Buffaloes, setting up a rematch of last year's final at 3:30pm. The tournament's winner will earn a place in the CAF Women's Champions League finals, which are scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast later this year.
