As per the BFL annual report, Rollers were awarded a total of 59 cards in 30 games of the last season. Popa had seven red cards and 52 yellow cards in the 2022-2023 season as the team endured a dull season. The Blues finished fourth and failed to qualify for the CAF interclub competitions as they finished the season without silverware.

Rollers’ cross town rivals, Gaborone United are second in the BPL ‘bad boys’ list with 53 cards. The Reds were awarded 49 cautions and four dismissals. In third is relegated Holy Ghost with 40 cards but the team had not received a dismissal in the season. Champions, Galaxy are fifth on the list with 64 cards, 61 cautions and three dismissals while Security Systems are fourth with 74 cards, the highest in the league. Meanwhile, Extension Gunners are the BPL ‘good boys’ as the team was awarded only 38 cards, 35 yellow cards and three dismissals.

The Peleng Giants also had the lowest number of cards as they were relegated to the second tier football for the first time in history. The BFL report also shows the tidiest football season in recent years. Only three disciplinary matters were reported in the past campaign. The matters include Orapa United against a fourth official in their home game against Rollers.

Gaborone Derby incident when supporters invaded the pitch at full whistle was also reported to the BPL Disciplinary Committee (DC). The third and final incident was a matter between GU and Galaxy. Only two matters were registered at the DC as GU queried the use of more than allowed substitutions in the game against Systems and also the matter Eleven Angels and BFL.
