Girlfriend allegedly stabs boyfriend to death

Tlokweng Police Station commander, Superintendent Unoziba Rari told The Monitor that the incident went down at Three-kopi Lands on the fringes of Modipane on Friday night.

Rari revealed that, during police questioning, the suspect revealed that she had a heated argument with her boyfriend that evening. The tiff erupted when they returned home from a shebeen, and in the ensuing scuffle, she purportedly ended up stabbing him with a sharp object. Rari said upon receiving the report, the police hot-footed to the scene of the crime.

The Zimbabwean man was rushed to Princess Marina Referral Hospital, where doctors on the scene declared him dead upon arrival. “We are yet to establish the Zimbabwean man’s name, age and to locate his family to inform them about his death because he did not have any documents in his possession.

The suspect has since been arrested and is currently in custody for investigations,” Rari said.
