Tebogo progressed to the semi-final last night after winning heat four in 10.11s at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. In what is expected to be a mouth watering event, Tebogo will face off against defending champion, American sprinter, Fred Kelly and Jamaican rising star, Oblique Seville. Tebogo will be in heat three, striding in lane six next to Seville while Kelly is in lane four. Speaking to the media yesterday, Tebogo said his plan was to move to the semi-final and from there qualify for the final. “There are some things in my technique that I can improve, you will see it in the semi-final. In the previous World Championships that were held in Oregon, Eugene, I did not qualify for the final, that is the mission here. I do not consider other runners my rivals, we are all brothers,” he said. Tebogo said the final will be for everybody but he does not feel any pressure. He said together with his team, they are looking for a long term development, at the same time there is no additional pressure whether he wins a medal or not.
