The teacher from Themashanga village left and never returned after visiting the restroom. It was reported that this was not the first time she went missing after being diagnosed with post-partum depression (PPD).

A distraught family spokesperson who is also Beauty's brother Kabelo Joseph told Mmegi that they believed that their beloved sister had some sort of misfortune on the day of her disappearance. “People don't simply disappear into thin air, he said, unless something terrible has happened to them. This is not the first time that my younger sister went missing. In the past we managed to locate her within a short period of time after she had gone missing. She went missing a couple of times but we were able to find her within a day or two,” said the worried brother.

Prior to her latest disappearance, Kabelo stated that his younger sister had recently been released from Jubilee Hospital after she was treated for PPD. He added that she was showing signs of recovery and slowly regaining her confidence. Beauty's brother continued, “Her morale was better this time because she was able to interact and cook for the family, something she didn't even bother with before."

He elaborated that they were hopeful that she was recovering as she was able to renew her Identity card and withdrew cash from the bank, something she was unable to do before. Narrating the story of Beauty’s disappearance he said she woke their other sister, who was temporarily living with her at Block 1 location, asking to use the restroom.

“She then went outside to use the bathroom, but when she came back inside, she said it was already occupied. On her second effort, she was successful in using the restroom. My other sister went to check on her after five minutes and banged the door repeatedly, but there was no response. When she finally forced open the door, Beauty was nowhere to be found,” elaborated Kabelo. He further said that a few minutes later his other sister alerted their family of Beauty's sudden disappearance.

Additionally, they searched everywhere and even contacted all of her friends and other family members, but their efforts proved to be futile. Kabelo indicated that his younger sister abandoned everything, including her clothes, cellular phone, travel documents, ID, and even the the P450 she withdrew the day before she vanished.

When discussing how his little sister's ailment began following her pregnancy last year, he highlighted that Beauty spent more than three months in the hospital because her infant had medical problems. Kabelo indicated that after receiving treatment the infant recovered but his sister’s spirits remained low. “She went missing at some point after the baby was released from the hospital but we managed to locate her at Gerald Cemetery two days later. She vanished again and we found her parked along Martin’s Drift Border,” he said.

Beauty’s brother also said that upon being questioned why she left, his little sister always stated that she was following a voice. He also stated that her younger sister was a capable teacher who never missed work without any justification.

Kabelo indicated that she could have reported for duty on Monday after a short school vacation but she didn't leading to more concerns. He further pleaded with the community to assist with any information which could be helpful in locating his younger sister.

“If there is anything you know about the disappearance of Beauty, kindly contact Kutlwano police or any nearest police station,” he concluded. Botswana Police Services (BPS) through its official Facebook page has also issued a missing person’s report on Wednesday.
