Gas delivery driver attacked, robbed

The robbery happened at around 8pm following a delivery call from customers in Tsholofelo East. Reached for an interview, Broadhurst Police Station commander, Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae said the driver was fulfilling a delivery to the location when he was approached by two men in an attack and one of them hit him with a tyre lever.
“The driver was rescued by customers who had requested the delivery and the suspects fled the crime scene with money amounting to around P5,000 and a cellphone.
The driver had sustained head injuries and he was rushed to Extension II Clinic where he was treated and released the same night,” Lokae said. Lokae added investigations into the matter are ongoing to locate and arrest the unknown suspects.
