The 31-year-old rose to fame through comedy with Mhele Productions. Alongside Kario and Skizzo, the trio took social media by storm during the pinnacle of COVID-19 with their creativity around a Mhele game that never seems to end well.

They offered entertainment to Batswana during the lockdown and the State of Emergency (SOE). But now Moshweshwe BW has revealed that he plans to switch focus to his other talent, which is music.

“Comedy industry has been very good to me because it has given me the opportunity to realise my talent in music which I am very proud of because I have long known that God has given me the talent to sing,” the excited Moshweshwe BW said. Moshweshwe BW, who hails from Kudumatse stated that he has always yearned for that one-time opportunity for him to unleash the musical artist in him. “As I have said I have long known that God has given me talent in music but I didn’t know how to put it out there to the world until God opened the doors for me by being an actor in comedy for Mhele Productions as Moshweshwe BW,” he said.

He further added the large following he has gained through Mhele Productions is contributing immensely to his growth as an artist. Moshweshwe BW echoed that his great followers can now see his musical talent.

He said his recent single titled, 'Kokota' is a true reflection of his talent. He said the song was produced by Dubbling and is doing relatively well since its release.

He said the great start of his music career has inspired him to go in harder and take it to another level. He said he is already working on an album. “I am always telling people that I’m switching from comedy to music and I am already working on an album called ‘Mollo’ which I’m recording at Kalakuta Records. The album will be produced by Justos, Father Bra Tax and Sister Zozo,” he said. Asked if his decision to switch to music has had any bearing on the decline of Mhele Productions, Moshweshwe BW said: “Mhele Productions is not productive like before because of the distance between me and Kario. We are living very far from each other because of work commitments.

"I stay in Francistown while Kario and Skizzo The Brand are based in Toteng near Maun and this is why we no longer produce videos like before,” explained Moshweshwe BW.

However, he said his move to music does not mean he is leaving comedy completely. His plan is to try by all means to balance the two. He said comedy will always remain part of his life. Giving advice to the upcoming artists, Moshweshwe BW said they should always remain optimistic and persevere through the challenges that face the local industry.
