Mmotlanyane killed his wife, a person living with albinism back in May.
The bail hearing which was scheduled for today was postponed this morning by the Broadhurst Magistrate Court.
In the last mention, the presiding Magistrate, Goratile Moremi-Ramakoloi had indicated that she will be ready to deliiver judgment today but asked for a postponement citing that she was yet to complete her ruling. Both the accused and inspector Onkemetse Modukanele did not oppose the suggested date and the two will be in court tomorrow to hear the bail verdict.
Meanwhile, Gomolemo, seized on the opportunity to raise his concerns. He complained that his in-laws are starting to take property that is not theirs and he needs to be given bail to attend to the issues. “I have been informed that my in-laws have already gotten a file document which contains me and my late wife’s marriage certificate and also a title deed for our field,” he said.
Subsequently, Gomolemo pleaded that he needs to be given bail so that he could be able to look for transport to fetch some of his properties.
“Serowe District Council had agreed to release a truck to assist me to transport my properties from Moiyabana to Kopong but the process was put to a halt after they had asked for my official writing as they could not transport them with me behind bars .That is why I am really asking for bail so that I can attend to such issues,” Gomolemo requested.
