DJ dies after being hit by a car

Confirming the incident, Kazungula station commander Superintendent Phetogo Phillimon said his office is investigating a deadly traffic accident that happened along the Kazungula-Kasane route, directly across from Country Inn.
He stated that the event occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning. Phillimon said the 34-year-old man from Goodhope was struck by a vehicle while strolling with his girlfriend. The pair was strolling from south to north on Kazungula Road, added Phillimon.
“The pair was standing next to Country Inn, where the 34-year-old was hit by a Honda Elysion. The driver did not stop at the scene after hitting the 34-year-old man,” stated the Kazungula police chief. The DJ was discovered laying on the roadway by police and was taken to Kasane Primary Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to Phillimon, the deceased's girlfriend was also taken to the same medical facility and treated for shock before being discharged. He stated that they were able to identify the driver and tracked down his car, which was discovered parked at his parents' house. The driver, who is still at large, allegedly parked the car at his home, where he lives with his mother, and escaped.
To avoid similar incidents, the commander of the Kazungula police station advised motorists to drive prudently at all times. He additionally cautioned pedestrians to be cautious when walking at night, particularly along shoulder lanes, to prevent being hit by vehicles. He pleaded with the people to aid them with any information that may be useful in their investigations.
