US Ambassador designate handing letters of credence to President Masisi PIC: BWPRESIDENCY

Ambassador Van Vranken's appointment happens at a very exciting time for Botswana as the country prepared to host yet another historic event, the U.S-Africa Business Summit from July 11-14, 2023 in Gaborone, in partnership with Corporate Council on Africa (CCA).

The Summit will bring together more than 1,000 U.S. and African private sector executives, international investors, senior government and multilateral stakeholders.

'I look forward to working with Ambassador Van Vranken to continue strengthening the long-standing diplomatic relations between our two countries. Botswana expresses its gratitude for the unwavering support the United States has given us in our desire to achieving a knowledge-based economy', said Masisi. (BW Presidency)
