The night of praise and worship featured for the first time on Botswana soil, Nigerian gospel sensation, Minister GUC, South Africa's Bucie Radebe, Eswatini’s saxophonist, Fakazi Samuel, Locals Mass Choir and We Must Praise Choir.

By 7.30pm when the programme started, worshipers had already taken to their seats waiting in anticipation for the show. Whilst normally it is the international artists who steal the spotlight, the local performers also brought in their A-game. Kicking off the night was Yarona FM’s DJ Kellz who dished out Gospel hits much to the appreciation of the crowd.

The celebrated DJ, set the mood of the night of praise proving that Gospel music too can be fun. Following DJ Kellz was the skillful choreography from the Mass choir who entertained the crowd with their dance moves.

The mass choir made way for We Must Praise Choir who belted out some of their best songs. At this point the crowd was eagerly waiting for the two main headliners, Radebe and Minister GUC.

The crowd, which interjected the MC chanting out Radebe’s name, simply could not wait for the ‘Ke tla sejara sefapano’ hit maker. True to her style, Radebe stepped up on stage clad in her trademark all white regalia receiving loud cheers from the crowd. For a full hour, Gospel lovers were treated to an energetic performance from Radebe.

Notably Radebe was in her element and even extended her performance from her initial time slot. She was seemingly enjoying herself on stage. In between her songs, she constantly shared her intimate life lessons. Radebe paved way from Minister GUC. The latter, who attended the show with his wife and young child, took the night to a whole new level.

Born Gift Ugochukwu Christopher, the 29-year minister’s debut album featuring songs like “All that matters,” and ‘Obinigwe’ gained him popularity. It would seem the songs were also popular with the crowd as they sang along when he performed. All in all the inaugural It Is Possible Concert proved that Gospel music is also as fun as the other genres and should not only be limited to church goers. The set-up, sound, stage and organisation of the event was top-notch.
