Gov’t clears Davido performance confusion

The free music event, which only requires one to register to attend will be hosted at the Gaborone main mall. Many thought the announcement of Davido attending the Forbes under 30 Summit in Botswana would afford them an opportunity to watch him perform live. However, Mmegi Online can confirm that Davido will only perform for the select few. This was confirmed by Emmanuel Letshiwiti , one of the local Forbes under 30 summit organisers.

“Yes people were looking forward to his performance. However we have a star studded line-up comprising other international and our own local acts. There was a miscommunication regarding where he is performing and that has since been clarified as he will be performing at an exclusive event attended by all the Delegates at the Bush Party,”Letshwiti said.

Letshwiti further stated that the People’s concert slated for Sunday from 3pm to 10pm will equally be exciting as it will feature Grammy award winning star, Nomcebo Zikode and one of the biggest acts in Africa, Sauti Sol. “Additionally, we have our local stars such as ATI, Ubuntu, Amantle Brown, Dr. Vom just to mention a few,” he said.
