DJ Zinhle, real name Ntombezinhle Jiyane revealed to Arts & Culture that her accessory line will be made available to the local market where it will only be sold online. She has encouraged Batswana to buy the stock online to avoid disappointment. Era By DJ Zinhle is a line of accessories by the popular DJ designed for the modern woman with refined taste.
The brand was founded in 2012. “Unfortunately, I won’t be in on the day, I will be travelling to America, but the Era team will be in Gaborone for the soft launch,” the mother of two confirmed.
The Era brand was first launched 10 years ago first as a timepiece-specific brand but has since expanded into a range of accessories with the continued mission to inspire and serve as a reminder to women of their value and contribution to society. DJ Zinhle was performing to a crowd at the Game City roof top recently where she had the attendants eating out of the palm of her hands. Asked to comment on where her head is now, following the death of her first-born child, Kairo’s father AKA, DJ Zinhle is taking it one day at a time. “We are just taking each day as it comes. It is not easy but by the grace of God we will get there,” she briefly said.
AKA was shot dead in Durban back in February 10. His death sent shock waves across the continent with music lovers mourning the rapper. AKA and DJ Zinhle’s romance sparked in Botswana at a show they were both booked at back in 2012.
